Another week full of ravishing purok houses and glamorous beauty queens as our leader, Rob, was invited to Barangay San Isidro's fiesta activities to judge for the Cleanest and Greenest Purok and Solid Waste Management Pageant. This activity is in line with their Solid Waste Management Program wherein recyclable and reusable materials where used to create colorful decorations for their purok houses and stunning evening gowns. The pictures below speak of the fabulous events held on April 13 and 14.
After the very busy days, we attended the purok meetings of Barangay Lourmah to impart health education regarding proper solid waste management. We gave out pre-tests and post-tests to compare their knowledge on the matter. We also informed them of our future projects for the different CHPs, especially the upcoming Waste Analysis and Characterization Study.
